Updated On: Jun 02, 2021

Victoria Garza was doing time, for the second time, at the Washington Corrections Center for Women.  Her chances of going back for a third time are now slim to none as she has found a home with Local 86.  Victoria is now an apprentice following a tough try-out day.  She was ready thanks to a prison program TRAC that gives inmates a basic training in the building trades.  Northwest Ironworkers have been an active part of that program since it start.  Here is a recent article on the TRAC Program and Victoria from a Department of Correctons publicantion.
