Local Union 14, Nominations Available Online

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In light of the COVID-19, Local 14 will be conducting its Officer Nomination entirely by mail or email and with the possibility of voting for Officers as well by mail only.  Information regarding the protocols for nominations for the Union Office follows below.

  • The following Offices are up for election and are open for nominations: (See Attached). The term of office for each of these positions is three years.
  • Members may nominate themselves or another member. Only a member in good standing can nominate a candidate. There is no requirement for nomination to be seconded.
  • Nominations may be submitted by mail to:  16610 E. Euclid Avenue, Spokane, WA 99216 or submitted by email to:  All nominations must be received no later than May 21st, 2020   5:00 pm. Click here to send an email with your nominations now.
  • The Judges of Election will contact all nominees to verify acceptance of the nomination. All accepted nominations will be sent to the International General Secretary’s Office with names and membership numbers to verify eligibility. To be eligible for Office, any individual must have been a member in the Local Union in continuous good standing for at least two years.
  • The Judges of Election from the last election shall serve as the Judges of Election for the 2020 election. Any opening shall be filled by persons who have served as Judges of Election in the election immediately preceding the last election. In the event of any remaining vacancies, the President shall appoint replacements to serve as Judges of Election. All Judges of Election must be eligible to serve as Judges of this election in accordance with the requirements of the International Constitution (ie: no Judges of Election shall be a candidate for any office).

Notice of Election:  The election at this time will be conducted on Saturday, June 20th at the Union Hall located at 16610 E. Euclid Avenue Spokane ,WA 99216. The polls will be open for voting from 12:00 noon until 9:00 pm. If we are unable to do this, due to the COVID-19. The election will be conducted from June 1st -June 20th 2020. Ballots will be mailed on June 1 2020 and must be received by June 19th to be counted. Ballots will be counted on June 20th 2020. Because the election might be conducted entirely by mail ballot, it is important that the Union have your correct address.
