Learning these many skills leads to a rewarding career in our trade.

The Ironworkers Dist. Council of the Pacific Northwest was one of the first supporters of TRAC, a pre-apprenticeship program on the "inside" of the Washington Corrections Center for Women. "Fences & Locks to Jobs & Paychecks" tells the stories of several women who entered prison and came out the other end to union jobs in the building trades. Our union has helped break the barriers to their returning to the community and starting anew in careers with dignity, livable pay and benefits. This film shows how we can shut the revolving prison door that has become a major social issue. Viewing time, 28 minutes.
